11/30/11

This week, we've had a lot of birthdays going on. First, there was my big brother's, then my little brother's, then my aunt's! Whew! A lot of gifts for some very special people!
I am hoping that you all had a great Thanksgiving. I VERY much hoping that you will have a very merry Christmas. Now, for the story of the day!

The teacher's Christmas
One day in Swittsleland, there lived a fair maiden, and she had to go to school. She went to school, and when she got there, she discovered that her teacher was not there. It was a new teacher with long brown hair, big blue eyes, and a long beautiful  purple  dress. To complete her outfit, she had on a long purple and blue striped blanket-looking headdress.  She looked amazing! She was writing a book. The fair maiden  walked over to the teacher, and asked her, "What's your name?" The teacher replied, "My name is Mary.  My husband's name is Joseph. I am a virgin. My son's name is Jesus"

I hope you enjoyed!

11-21-11

Hi guys! Guess what? I'm going to Crystal Mountain, and if you read this blog before, you would know about this place. My dad got off of work early on the day that we are going, so, we get to get there ealier than we would have if we left after school.  Now it's time for the story of the day!

Three Thanksgiving Wishes
Once opon a time, where the grass was green, there was a little boy, Jackson. He lived in a wonderful house. It was full of big mirrors, so full, they had to make mirror couches and mirror chairs. He was just sitting in one of those mirror couches, when he noticed a faint glow coming from one of the mirror cushions. He lifted up the cushion and to his surprise, there was a glowing bull. Only, the bull had 18 horns instead of two. "Hello!" The bull said. "Gee wiz!" said Jackson. "You're a real flying fairy bull!" "You bet I am." said the bull. And I'm here to give you three Thanksgiving wishes. Give me three wishes, and I will fulfill them" "Okay," said Jackson, "Here's the first one, I want unlimited wishes! Millions and millions and millions! Give them all to me!" "Jasmine told me not to do this." said the bull. And with that, he flew off.

Sorry!

Dear Readers,
I am SSSSOOO sorry that I have not written in so long. Jake has gotten really big. He is now 6 1/2 months old. Here is a letter from Jake.

Dear people,
My owners are great! They totally rock. I am now attending Obedience School. It is great. My friend Jax is awesome. He is now one year old.
Love your puppy/friend,
Jake

What do you think?
Well, now it's time for the daily story!

Once, there was a family. They were meeting up at some houses. They watched a lot of football. It was great. Then next day, they had to go home. They were very sad. When they got home, their uncle who moved to Japan was there. The fun was not over after all.

Your sorry friend,
Madelyn Joy

Tomorrow I am going to a place called Crystal  Mountain Resort. This place has a water park, a swimming pool, and my grandmother owns a place there. Thanks for letting us stay there, Grandma E.! While we are there, we always see our cousins. I like seeing Audrey and Courtney the best.
We also get to stop and see my Grandma and Grandpa Y. and see their cute dog Sparky.  He's a good boy! My grandpa loves when we come because grandma makes lots of cookies. Sam loves to play the drums in the basement.
At the water park at Crystal Mountain, there are fake lillypads. One time I tried to go under one of them, but a person was on top of  it, so I had to swim through. It was really scary.
At Crystal Mountain there is also a gigantic slide. You have to be a certain height to go alone. Lucky little me grew two inches this year, so I might just be able to go alone.
Well, Jake is doing really well with the training and everything and when we go to Crystal Mountain, my dad will stay home and take care of him. How nice is he??

My buddy Jake arrived at our home yesterday and there was a lot of puppy crying on the way home. He did not see his mom the day that we picked him up, and some times, when he's napping, which is often, I will hear him making noises that sounds like he's nursing.
Here is a letter for those reading that Jake would have written if he could talk:
Hi, my name is Jake. I am an 8 week old yellow Labrador retriever, and so far, I have had a pretty good time here.
For one little amount of time, I was put in a huge doggy pen. I tried to escape but these owners are like awesome at keeping me inside of things.
I really like my new toys. One toy I had at my old house, and another one was the exact same thing but a brand new one. I sure am getting carried around a lot, but I don't care. It feels really good. For some reason, some strange reason, my owners say "Good boy Jake!" when I go to the bathroom outside. But if I go inside, which I can't help, they don't say good boy to me. I wonder why.
I rely on my litter mates to protect me, but where are they? I keep seeing them in the oven and on the sliding glass door, but when I run for them, I run into those things, then I cry 'cause that really hurts.
I really like these people, especially Maddy's mom.
There is this dog on the other side of the street named Lady. She comes over to play a lot. She sits down just like me. She is like my lost mother, who I don't know where she is..
Well, that's all for now. More next time.

Madelyn Joy and her dog Jake :-)

6-23-11

Well, It's finally tomorrow that we get Jake so you won't hear me rambling on and on about getting my puppy, but I'm just so excited. My mom says that Jake won't be a puppy forever, and that he'll grow up very fast, but during the time that he's a puppy, he'll be a joy, and a filling of the loss of our other dog, who's name was Leroy.
If any of you know what it feels like to lose a pet when you've known that pet all your life, you will know how I feel. After the people that put him down cremated him, they sent us a poem, and it was the last line of the poem that really moved me. It said, "And know that we'll never be apart, for I have left my paw prints on your heart."  I cried last night, and even as I'm writing this part, I'm getting all choked up.
Although I miss Leroy, I hope that Jake will fill his lost presence. He will get his face shown a lot after I get him. :)

Well, I don't know how many of you have a Nook Color, but I do, and I just charged it. Well actually my dad charged it because he used his phone charger, but you can download millions of books on there, and ll of them have samples that you can get, too.
Anyways, I charged it and now it works like a charm. And you know that book I recommended yesterday, I can totally get it on my Nook. Plus you can get great books from the library and lend books to other people.

6/21/11

Like I said in my first post, I am a huge reader, and have to read every day, or I will mope around the house with nothing to do.
Anyways, I had a friend over to my house today and we went to the library after we picked her up because my brother had a thing at the library to attend about drums. We were searching about subjects on the library computer, and my friend happened to bring up the subject of Greek mythology because she was reading a book that was Greek mythology based.
My friend, who's name is Emily, looked up a book that she had read before,  and she recommended it, so I checked it out. After reading the first sentence, I was hooked. The book is amazing! That's why, if  you haven't read it, you can read it now. The name of the book is The Lost Hero.

We got home early  from camping, but I was sick so I could not post yesterday. I felt completely awful. I was not throwing up but had a bad cough and was completely weak.
While we were camping, we received a pleasant surprise. We get to pick Jake up a whole day earlier! Well, when my dad found that out, he started shopping for puppy stuff like mad. He bought a bunch of things and ordered a puppy play/exercise pen from Wallie World that is 36 inches high.
Like I said, we're getting Jake a whole day earlier so it is now 4 days until we get him instead of 5, in case you haven't started a count down to when we get Jake. Not like you need to with me talking about how long it is until we get him. I'm sorry if I'm talking about him too long, but I just can't wait to hold that precious puppy.

Well, we're going camping today and I won't be able to post for three days. Boo hoo! But guess what, we're going to Van Riper state Park. If any of you readers have a camper or a tent, you should definitely consider going to van riper state park.
When you're there, you'll discover that they have an ice-cream shop. (that's my brother's favorite part I think). Every year, they have an annual music festival. When you're at the annual music festival, there are bouncy houses, (4 of them), instruments made out of trash, singing, and so much more.
Well goodbye to all my readers for three days. And when I get back, you'll probably read me saying "I want my puppy!"  : )

6-16-11

Well, as I was saying, I'm a huge writer, so I was reading a book written in 1964 called Water Dogs, and at the beginning, the author was talking about losing his shoes. So I made up my mind. I was going to write a better book than he ever could.
Since we are getting a new puppy, and that's what the book I was reading was about, I decided to write a book on how to train your puppy.
My dad really went above and beyond this time. He got a new crate for the puppy, he got Kong toys, new dog food, new false bones, and he even got a wubba. In case you're wondering what a wubba is, I'll tell you.
A wubba is a stuffed toy that looks like a pillow with a rope in the middle, except there is no rope tied in the middle. It's kind of invisible. Then, at the bottom, it has multiple ropes to pull on. It squeaks when you squeeze it.

6-15-2011

Well, now I've missed two days of post in a row, but that's mainly because I was spending all of my time with the boys. We had a lot of fun, but the main reason I'm writing is because my puppy is going to come home in 10 days!
The breeder is now calling him Jake, and we're all held in suspense as to if he's responding. My mom E-mailed the breeder to ask for some more pictures, and we got some totally cute ones of him with his head turned.
One of the reasons that we like the breeder is because that particular breeder put her puppies in the cottenelle commercials. "Well," I thought, "If the puppies are cute enough to be in commercials, then they're cute enough for me."
Anyways, when the boys were here, I tought the littlest one, Emmanuel, how to say banana in a deep voice. It was fun.

6-12-2011

Well, like many of you have heard, I write short stories on my blog, or will write. Well today you're in luck. It just so happens that I'm going to write a legend for you to read write now. Are You Ready? Well, here goes!
The Legend of the Iron Mountain Murder
One day, a man was walking in the woods, when he heard a piercing scream, but our story is not about the man that was walking around, but our story is about the man that the scream belonged to.
You must first know the man's name. His name was Max. Now Max had a wife, well an ex-wife really. He also had a son, but his wife had his son right now. The son was joint custody.
Max knew that if he screamed, no one in his ex-family would hear, but maybe someone else would. His head was gushing blood. He needed assistance, and fast.
This author had better explain. A man had an axe, and he was planning to use it, on someone's head that is.
Max gave out another loud cry of help, then the man that was strolling by, well he heard that cry. Luckily, the man had a cell phone, and dialed 911 with it. He knew where the scream was coming from, and directed the ambulance to the cave.
43 hours later, Max woke up and found his wife standing over him. Not his ex-wife but his old wife that was now going to get remarried to him. And that story is why miners wear helmets today.

6-11-2011

Well, I have good news again. Tomorrow my cousins are coming over to our house to spend the night for a couple of days. I have three cousin boys, who are the cutest boys that there could ever be. One is named Elijah, one is named Isaiah, and one is named Emmanuel. (If you can't already tell, we're trying to pick some good nicknames, 'cause what happens when they get into first grade? They need a nickname, just to shorten things up.)
That's all I can really write about right now.
Oh, and by the way, I WANT MY PUPPY!
Sincerely yours,
Madelyn Joy

6-10-11

I am so sorry my trusty reading friends. I missed a whole day of post yesterday. (That's because we were out looking at a couple of puppies. They were both very cute). The reason we were looking for a new dog is because our twelve-year-old dog had to get put down.
Anyways, we went on a trip to Rhinelander in Wisconsin to find the breeder with the new puppy that we were looking at on the Internet. There was a light colored one, that looked almost white. I think he was the runt of the litter. The other one was a little bit bigger. We found one dog that looked like he would look like the bigger one when he was a puppy.
We finally picked out the smaller white one. We named it Jake. My brother is holding him in the picture.  We will bring him home to our homey house in a few weeks.
I can't wait!!!!!

6-8-2011

Meet the recent kid blogger of 2011. I am Madelyn Joy, and I will let you have fun reading posts that I write daily. Since I like  to write, you may find short legends that I make up. I always have fun reading and writing. You should try to write a short story; then, some day when you are older, you wil look back on your writing, then change things that you think need to be changed. It's rather inspirational.
